3cupsgarbanzo beans, drained and peeled (dried or canned)
3ice cubes
80grstahini paste
1/2tspsalt
Juice of 1 lemon
A few tsps. Hot water (if needed)
Olive oil
Sumac or paprika (optional)
Instrucciones
In a blender or food processor, blend the peeled garbanzo beans and garlic.
Add the ice cubes, tahini paste, salt, lemon juice and blend. If it is too thick, add hot water, a tsp at a time. Blend until smooth.
Pour into a bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Optional: sprinkle with sumac or paprika.
Notas
Tips:
If you use dried garbanzo beans, soak them in water overnight and then boil them for 1 ½ hours.
If you used canned ones, drain them.
To peel them, place them in a bowl, add boiling water and 1 ½ tsp baking soda. Let them sit for a few minutes, then rinse under cold running water, rubbing them between your hands to loosen up the skin. Once peeled, place them in a bowl.
